Welcome to Olympic View Montessori We are a Montessori pre-school and kindergarten located in Edmonds,Washington. We feel that the immediate goal of early childhood education should be to instill in young children a love of learning and an internal desire to seek knowledge and understanding of our world. We believe that a Montessori environment encourages a sense of self-confidence and self-discipline along with a sense of responsibility. These qualities enable children to develop their ability to concentrate, make choices, enjoy quiet, be independent and successfully participate in a community. For enrollment in Olympic View Montessori—whether for the current school year or the upcoming school year beginning in September—children must be 2.5 years old by their start date.
If your child is 2.5 years old, they must also meet the following readiness criteria: • Independently potty trained • Able to communicate verbally to express needs and follow directions • Not taking naps if applying for full‑day attendance Readiness for full‑day enrollment is determined by the school. If a child is not yet consistently meeting these readiness standards, the school may require a part‑time schedule until full‑day attendance becomes developmentally appropriate.
